Lucknow: In a bid to tackle growing encroachments and ease traffic congestion in one of the city’s busiest marketplaces, the Municipal Corporation team carried out a checking and anti-encroachment drive in the Aminabad police station area today.
The team issued strict warnings to vendors and shopkeepers who had illegally extended their stalls or occupied public roads, causing daily inconvenience to pedestrians and commuters.
Aminabad, known for its dense crowds and bustling commercial activity, has long been grappling with the issue of road encroachment. Shoppers and locals frequently complain of narrowed pathways and traffic bottlenecks, especially during peak hours.

Taking note of the situation, the Municipal Corporation team inspected the area to assess the ground reality. They urged violators to remove encroachments immediately and comply with civic rules to avoid strict action in the future.

The drive was conducted in the presence of Aminabad Station House Officer (SHO) Sunil Kumar Azad, who, along with his police team, ensured the operation was carried out smoothly and without disruption.

The administration has hinted that similar drives will continue in other congested areas of the city to maintain order, ensure smooth traffic flow, and safeguard public convenience.
